Lower-current quarter bricks fill market
gap
Datel reckons its latest quarter-brick range fills a glaring price/performance void in the DC/DC product landscape.
According to Datel, until now, there has been a glaring price/performance void in the DC/DC product landscape Power designers requiring 7, 8 or 9A or more (at 3.3V) have been forced to pay for full 20A quarter bricks (or more expensive eighth bricks) as traditional "hockey puck" (potted module) DC/DC convertors are not available at those current levels

Datel's new USN Series D5 SIPs are nonisolated DC/DC convertors that accept a 5V input (4.5 to 5.5V input range) and deliver 1.5, 1.8, 2.5 or 3.3V outputs at either 8 or 10A.
Datel's new, low cost ULQ series fills the void.
Fully rated for 15, 20 and 25A output currents, these high-performance quarter bricks are specifically aimed at middle-ground 8-15A applications.
