Designed to provide a fully customised embedded solution with minimal engineering and adaptation costs, the new GX2 ETX module from DSL is a complete processor core that will enable a custom product to be developed and brought to market quickly and easily. Software development can begin immediately using the fully featured development system as the platform, while the finished product is being manufactured. The connection used makes it possible to create an extremely low profile design.
Currently the only module available using ETX, the 114mm x 95mm board will support Windows 2000, Windows XP, Windows XP Embedded, Windows CE.NET and Linux.
The 400MHz AMD Geode GX 533 processor is supported by up to 512MByte DDR RAM, full ISA and PCI Bus expansion, E-IDE interface, serial, parallel, IrDA and USB ports and 10/100 Base-T Ethernet.
Passive cooling and a watchdog timer provide protection on a module which also features a TFT and CRT video controller, AC'97 Codec audio control and has an operating temperature of 0 to 50C.
Extended temperature versions can be supplied.
