By combining its computer skills with a range of TFT LCD flat panel displays, Datasound Laboratories has created the Maverick range of complete ultra slim computers based on NS GX1 processors

Comprising a PC/AT compatible motherboard, the display and a 10/100 Base T Ethernet interface, this compact assembly is ideally suited to both networked and stand-alone embedded applications. Available with 6.5, 10.4, 12.1, 15.1 and 18.1in colour touchscreen displays with brightness levels from 350 to 500mcd, the Maverick 333 has all standard PC/AT motherboard functionality, including serial and parallel I/O, 24 programmable digital I/O, floppy and EIDE support (2.5in HDD mounted to board).

The board also incorporates and SVGA display controller for flat panel support, disk-on-chip, compact flash socket and PC104+ expansion bus and 56K modem module option.

Application software can be developed directly onto the Maverick 333 with time also being saved through the easy integration of hardware peripherals by attaching PC104+ expansion modules directly to the board via the PC104+ expansion bus.

Ideal for applications requiring a compact, low-power, high-reliability solution, the Maverick 333 is compatible with all recent operating systems including Windows 98, NT, ENT, QNX and Linux.
