CPLDs gain industry-standard support
Designers working with Cypress's Quantum38K CPLDs can now use Synplicity's Synplify synthesis tool for programmable logic designers
Cypress's Warp Release 6.3 seamlessly integrates the Synplify environment with Cypress's popular Warp development tools, providing Synplicity's Synplify customers with access to Cypress's newest family of high-performance silicon in the Synplify product's familiar, device-independent environment.

"The smooth integration of Synplify and Warp Software offers flexibility and ease of use to designers using Quantum38K devices", said Richard Quon, product-marketing manager for Cypress's Data Communications Division.
"Engineers now have a smooth migration path with both the Quantum38K and Delta39K CPLD families supported in the Synplify synthesis environment, without sacrificing the fitting and mapping algorithms developed specifically Cypress CPLDs".
The integration of the Synplify product with the Warp software allows customers to enter designs in the Synplify environment, which leverages Synplicity's Behavior Extracting Synthesis Technology algorithms to achieve optimum results.
The resulting netlist then can be read directly into Cypress's Warp Software environment, which provides fitting and mapping capabilities developed optimally for Cypress CPLDs.
The new capabilities extend Synplicity's support for Cypress CPLDs, which previously included Cypress's Flash370i, Ultra37000 and Delta39K CPLD families.
Customers will require a copy of the Synplify software (version 6.2 or higher), and a copy of Cypress's latest Warp software.
Each package is available from its respective company's website.
