Computamation Systems has released version 12.3 of its popular Vutrax electronics PCB design system, including a version for Linux.
Vutrax caters for electronic schematic design, printed circuit board (PCB) layout and electromechanical requirements.
The modular package provides for hybrid, flexi, SMT, PTH and multilayer circuits.
Applications include digital, microwave, RF and analogue designs.
Vutrax is one of the major PC design systems in the UK for Windows 95, 98, NT 3.51, 4.0, Windows 2000, Windows XP and now Linux.
The working environment, menu and command structure is common, and all data files are crosscompatible between Linux and Windows providing an easy transition between the two platforms.
Recent developments include: a highlight facility (blink) for signals during routing, positions of faults, power rails, signal pairs; and an extensive integrated tutorial and help system with combined browser and search engine for ease of use and fast learning.
The comprehensive website offers the latest information and limited capacity free version downloads, all upgradeable to a variety of customised levels.
Customers have immediate access to a 'hotline' telephone support service manned by engineers who not only know just the full functionality of Vutrax but understand the PCB processes and techniques.
