The STJ Series of sealed tactile switches come in a compact space-saving package of 7.2 x 7.2mm

New from CIT Relay and Switch, the STJ Series of sealed tactile switches come in a compact, space-saving package of 7.2 x 7.2mm. Spherical actuator design allows multidirectional, off-centre actuation of plus or minus 30 degrees. The RoHS compliant STJ, right-angle STJV, and surface mount STJS Series offer a choice of silver or gold plated contacts over nickel-plated stainless steel.

Terminal materials are either silver or gold over nickel-plated brass.

The electrical ratings of these series offer maximum power of 1W with the silver, 0.4W with the gold.

The maximum voltage for both silver and gold is 50V DC and minimum of 20mV, with maximum current 50mA with minimum being 1mA.

Travel to make on all versions of the STJ is 0.4mm.

The STJ Series offers actuation force choices of 130, 200, 300 and 500g.

The right-angle version, STJV offers 200 or 300g actuation force.

Both the STJ and the STJV have a stainless steel actuator and actuator cover with 6/6 nylon switch housing.

The bracket on the STJV is tin-plated steel.

Applications for the STJ Series include security, headphones, automotive, consumer appliance, medical - the options are limitless.

Volume pricing, depending on plating and termination, averages $0.35.
