structures

The transient solver engine is the first module to run with Linux operating systems.
The Frequency Domain solver features plane wave incidents and slanted ports and the performance of mesher and solver has been increased.
CST MWS 2006B's range of solvers of has been enriched by the addition of an integral equation solver based on the multilevel fast multipole method (MLFMM).
CST has continued to focus on connecting best-in-class software.
Two completely new interfaces have been developed, to Mician's uWave Wizard mode matching software and AWR's Microwave Office circuit simulation tool.
In addition there have been significant improvements made to the interfaces with EDA tools from Cadence, Zuken, Mentor and Agilent.
Coupled simulation between CST Microwave Studio's (CST MWS) high frequency solvers and CST EM Studio's magnetostatic and thermal solver has now been enabled.
"2006B is a major release which contains a number of significant improvements which are especially valuable to those wishing to solve complex structures such as antenna systems or SiP/SoP", commented Dr Bernhard Wagner, CST's Managing Director, Sales and Marketing.
