In response to increased demand from its customers, CSM has invested in a Century C-740 automated conformal coating machine. Over the past 6 months CSM Electronics has seen an increase in demand for conformal coating on existing and new products. "As a responsive supplier to our customers, and a proactive CEM within the industry, we decided that automated application was the most appropriate action to take", says Sales and Marketing Manager Jessica Amos.

The century C-740 series selective conformal coating system provides consistent, uniform dispensing of a variety of conformal coating materials for inline coating of applications.

The system virtually eliminates the requirement for labour-intensive board masking, providing accurately controlled patterns, film builds, and production capability in an automated process.

The machine will be operational in approximately 6 weeks time.

CSM Electronics also now has access to a 4040-Hi-Line flying probe tester.

The 4040 Hi-Line uses linear motors, magnetic suspension and an accurate measurement derived through optical linear encoders, which are unique characteristics of Spea flying probe testers.

CSM Electronics will be monitoring the use of the tester, with a view to investment.
