The CoWare Virtual Platform Product Family addresses the challenges associated with go-to-market strategies and software development for multicore platform-based designs. Time to market, development costs and quality concerns are driving the need to establish new business processes across the enterprise, including the engaugement with partners and customers.
CoWare's Virtual Platform solution enables the business function to deliver more efficient go-to-market initiatives while enabling engineering to reduce cycle time associated with software integration and testing.
'VDC's research indicates continued growth in the number of developers designing heterogeneous multicore systems and a greater average degree of complexity within these designs', said Matt Volckmann, Senior Analyst, Venture Development Corporation, a technology research firm located in Natick, Mass.
'Enhancements to CoWare's business model and overall approach to the supply chain, as well as technology improvements within CoWare's Virtual Platform that target higher simulation performance and increased visibility and control over the design, address some of the challenges associated with designing more sophisticated multicore systems'.

This feature enables more effective business processes, marketing initiatives, sales campaigns, and customer relationships.
The automated creation of re-usable SystemC models accelerates the creation of a virtual platform and optimises the synchronisation of hardware and software teams, which results in faster hardware/software codevelopment iterations.
The higher performance native SystemC simulator and the debugger multicore synchronisation infrastructure (including the integration of commercial software debuggers and CoWare's virtual platform analyser) provide a fast, nonintrusive, deterministic, and fully controllable development environment that leads to reduced cycle times.
'Our new release incorporates clear feedback from our customers and delivers value by connecting the dots across the enterprise'.
said Marc Serughetti, Director of Marketing, CoWare.
'CoWare Virtual Platforms provide a powerful alternative to physical boards for software developers'.
'With this release, CoWare has built a solution with the goal of enabling the whole enterprise while delivering best-in-class technologies'.
