Meyr becomes Chief Scientist
Dr Heinrich Meyr has assumed the role of Chief Scientist at CoWare, reporting to Alan Naumann, CoWare's President and CEO.

Dr Heinrich Meyr has assumed the role of Chief Scientist at CoWare, reporting to Alan Naumann, CoWare's President and CEO. Prof Meyr, cofounder of LISATek, which was recently acquired by CoWare, has also been named to the CoWare Board of Directors and will lead its Technical Advisory Board (TAB) that will include industry luminaries, customers and academic researchers. "Dr Meyr is one of the leading researchers and industry visionaries in the area of advanced digital signal processing system design.
His research has been applied to many industrial products", notes Naumann.

Prof Meyr is head of the Institute for Integrated Signal Processing Systems (ISS) at Aachen University of Technology (RWTH Aachen), and a well-known pioneer and entrepreneur in the EDA industry.
He founded Cadis and introduced Cossap, a revolutionary tool for the communications industry.
Cadis was acquired in 1993 by Synopsys.
He has published numerous, award-winning IEEE papers and holds several patents.
As well as being a Fellow of the IEEE, Prof Meyr has served as Vice President for International Affairs of the IEEE Communications Society and is the recipient of many awards including the Vodafone Prize for his contributions to wireless communications.
Prof Meyr received a master's of science degree and a PhD from ETH in Zurich, Switzerland.
He spent more than 12 years in various research and management positions in industry before accepting a professorship in electrical engineering at RWTH Aachen in 1977.
