CoWare has promoted Dundar Dumlugol to Vice President of Engineering.
With over 15 years experience in EDA, Dumlugol will head up CoWare's engineering staff which is located in the USA (Santa Clara, CA and Olympia, WA) as well as in Leuven, Belgium.
"Over the past two years, Dundar has proven that he has the technical and leader-ship skills to deliver key products and technologies in a timely manner", stated CoWare President and CEO Guido Arnout.
"I am counting on Dundar to nurture both rapid innovation of essential new technologies in close interaction with key customers as well as the development of quality products that can serve an ever increasing customer base".
Dumlugol has been active in the Open SystemC Initiative (OSCI) since its founding and serves as chairman of the Language Working Group.
Prior to joining CoWare in 1999, he was a Director of Engineering at Cadence Design Systems, the Vice President of Engineering at EDA startup Antrim, and EDA manager at Mietec/Alcatel in Belgium.
He holds a MSEE and PhD from the Katholieke University of Leuven, Belgium.
"CoWare has provided an incredible opportunity for me to work closely with the design community as it transitions to system-on-chip design at the system level, comprehending the complexity of both the hardware and the software involved", Dumlugol stated.
"As a part of the OSCI team, I've enjoyed working with member companies in developing the SystemC language and the reference simulator.
I am very pleased with the tremendous success SystemC has gained in the user community in such a short period".
