Compact switchers come with medical approvals

Condor DC Power Supplies has released the GPFM250 family of switch mode power supplies that will find wide application in medical systems.

Condor DC Power Supplies has released the GPFM250 family of switch mode power supplies that will find wide application in medical systems. Featuring a power density of 3.6W/in3 (220mW/cm3) and a compact size of just 127 x 203 x 44.5mm, the GPFM250 series is medically approved to UL2601, IEC601-1 and CSA 22.2 No 601.1. Input range is the standard 85 to 264V AC and maximum input current is 2.3A at 90V AC (60Hz) with full rated load.

Leakage, key in medical applications, is less than 300mA.

EMI compliance is to CISPR22, FCC Class B and all models in the series are power factor corrected to IEC 1000-3-2, Class A.

These single output switchers range from 3.3 to 48V in the usual steps.

Additional features include overload and overvoltage protection, remote sense and the useful addition of a 12V, 250mW output that is suitable for powering a DC fan.
