200W CompactPCI supplies
go parallel for more
Condor DC Power Supplies has released the 200W CPCI204 (AC input) and DPCI (36 to 72V DC input) series of power supplies designed specifically for Compact PCI Systems
Applications will include medical, communications, industrial and military systems. These power supplies offer market-leading power density in plug-in modules and meet the PICMG power interface specs for Compact PCI Systems. Capable of being used as a single power supply for a Compact PCI system, these units can also be used as multiple units in parallel for higher power requirements.

Switchers meet global energy requirements
External single-output switch-mode power supplies have regulated output with low ripple and are available in desktop and wall-plug styles
All units include current sharing, internal OR-ing diodes and a hot plug input/output connector to offer full hot swap and N+1 redundancy.
Of particular interest is the fact that four of these 3U-high 200W units together will provide 600W in N+1 redundancy whilst taking just two 6U 8HP slots.
This compares with 6U 300W models which would need an additional 8HP slot.

Also, compatible AC and DC input units offer users the chance to standardise on a single power supply series for a given system configuration.
All the units provide the normal +3.3, +5, +12 and -12V outputs and these may be used to draw currents from each output in the configuration that most suits the application.
All AC input models are fitted with power factor correction and provide, as standard, visual and audible signals for input or output fail, over temp and over voltage.
Remote inhibit is also standard.
The units will start up at -20C and provide full power over their operating range of 0 to 40C with derating to 2.5%/C to 70C.
They require just 15cfm (225lfm) of air to fully function.
Along with this variety of standard features, the units can be produced to meet customer's particular requirements.
The case length, for example, is normally 160mm but can be supplied in 220mm format.
Connection can be either by DIN M connector or 47-pin Positronic connector as required by PICMG Spec 2.11.
Customers requiring lower than normal earth leakage have the option to specify AC input models with leakage levels of less than 0.5mA per unit.
Front panels can be specified to match the users own colour and logo at a minimal extra charge whilst the panels can be fitted either with lock and eject fasteners or screws and handles to facilitate easy retention and ejection of units.
All units are fully approved to UL1950, CSA22.2, IEC950 and TUV EN60950 Class1 SELV.
They all also meet the requirements of the Low Voltage Directive.
