The Xtreme/104-Plus is a serial adapter that combines the best of Connect Tech's universal PCI and PC/104 product lines. The Xtreme/104-Plus retains all the benefits of the Xtreme/104, including a stackable, small form factor that is light on power consumption and rugged in performance. In addition, the PC/104-Plus line incorporates the fast data transfer speeds of Connect Tech's universal PCI products, making the Xtreme/104-Plus ideally suited for today's sophisticated embedded applications.

Fully PCI 2.3 and PC/104-Plus 2.0 compliant, the Xtreme/104-Plus adapters operate at temperature ranges of -40 to +85C, remaining reliable in the harshest of environments.

Model options include two or four ports of dedicated RS423 interface, or four or eight ports of jumper selectable RS232/422/485.

The RS422/485 interface supports full duplex, half duplex and multidrop communication modes.

Each port can be configured independently for baud rate, parity, data and stop bits.

Maximum baud rates are 1.8432Mbit/s (RS422/485) and 921.6Kbit/s (RS422).

The Xtreme/104-Plus is billed as perfect for embedded applications such as industrial PCs, kiosks, military systems, aerospace, medical systems, POS devices and any system requiring fast data transfer speeds and a rugged, compact form factor.

It is covered by Connect Tech's standard lifetime warranty and no-charge technical support.
