SBC incorporates fast memory access that significantly increases overall system performance through the optimisation of available bandwidth and reduction of memory access latency

Available now from Commell, the FS-A70 is a PICMG 1.3 system host board with high-bandwidth PCIe ports. The new board is based on the Intel Q965 Express chipset, and offers a choice of Intel LGA775 socket processors, including the Core 2 Quad with four complete execution cores, the Core 2 Duo with Intel Virtualisation Technology, and Pentium D and Pentium 4 processors at 1066, 800 and 533MHz.

The FS-A70 single board computer incorporates fast memory access that significantly increases overall system performance through the optimisation of available bandwidth and reduction of memory access latency.

The updated Q965 Express chipset includes wider internal databuses that support dual-channel DDR2 memory technology at 800MHz for greater platform performance and memory flexibility.

The Intel GMA 3000 architecture delivers rich visual colour and picture clarity without the need for additional graphics cards, and delivers performance for advanced operating systems like Microsoft Windows Vista.

The FS-A70 comes with interfaces for: floppy disk, PS/2 keyboard and mouse, RS232C and RS232/422/485.

Networking is provided by two Intel 82537L PCI-Express 1Gbit/s LAN ports and six USB2.0 ports.

It offers support for high definition audio and enables increased bandwidth for high quality audio and support for Dolby technology.

Support for eSATA enables the full SATA interface speed up to 3Gbyte/s; support for RAID 0, 1, 5 and 10 enables high reliability for personal data, or maximum storage performance for intensive applications.

A Mini PCI slot is provided for addon cards.
