Platform accelerates 3G conformance testing
A new bespoke test platform enables Cetecom to perform 3G blocking tests simultaneously with other RF conformance procedures
Experts consider the 3GPP TS 34.121-1 TC 6.5 blocking test case for 3G as one that requires a comparatively long time for processing. And during this time, the RF conformance test platform is not available for any other test. As a leading GSM and 3G test laboratory that disposes of several high-value test systems from a number of renowned manufacturers Cetecom has had to face this challenge in every 3G testing project.

A team of Cetecom experts that specialises in development and engineering services has met this challenge and developed a new test platform especially for this purpose.
The new Factsware test system complements the existing conformance test equipment at the Cetecom laboratories and optimises its efficiency: Factsware enables the processing of the 3G blocking test case according to the GCF and PTCRB requirements on an isolated platform and separated from the other test cases that have to be carried out.
Thanks to this, the blocking test can now be processed in parallel with other tests.
More than a decade of experience in mobile communications testing and a wealth of knowledge have been channelled into the new test system.
Cetecom's customers benefit from this proprietary development by an optimised test procedure and a reduced time to market.
