MTV Networks signs for codec expertise

Coding Technologies has signed a nonexclusive agreement with MTV Networks International to take the rallying mobile entertainment market to a new level.

Coding Technologies, the leading provider of audio compression technologies for mobile media, digital broadcasting and the Internet, has signed a nonexclusive agreement with MTV Networks International (MTVNI) to take the rallying mobile entertainment market to a new level. In its role as a central contributor to all major mobile media standards, systems and services such as 3GPP, DVB-H, DMB, MediaFLO and music download to mobile phones, Coding Technologies will provide its comprehensive knowledge to MTVNI, enabling both partners to expand their products' reach in the increasingly converging markets of TV and mobile entertainment. With the advent of high-performance handsets capable of processing rich media services, mobile content creation and distribution is gaining dramatic momentum for content providers and mobile operators alike.

Coding Technologies and its mobile service and platform partners will further enhance MTVNI's mobile entertainment services based on leading brands such as MTV and Nickelodeon, breakthrough creativity and a broad content portfolio suited for any kind of mobile device.
