Carlo Gavazzi has launched its new modular concept D and P Series 1-phase AC/DC over-current and over-voltage monitoring relays, and 3-phase monitoring relays for phase sequence and phase loss. With different module and housing options, the two series offer a flexible response to international mounting standards and a very high degree of independence in applications. Depending on the complexity of the measuring task, users can select modules for single functions or application-specific combined functions.

All modules are currently available in a slim 22.5mm housing for DIN-rail mounting and as a plug-in version in 36mm housing.

An LED display indicates relay, power supply and alarm status on all modules.

The over-current and over-voltage monitoring relays provide adjustable hysteresis and adjustable current and voltage limits respectively, on a relative scale.

Each has programmable latching at set levels, enabling them to be kept energised even after the end of an alarm condition.

The over-current version monitors loads up to 5A AC/DC via a built-in shunt and up to 6000A AC via Carlo Gavazzi's TAD/TACO series current transformers.

The 3-phase monitoring relay measures when all 3 phases are present and have the correct sequence and will detect regenerated voltages up to 70% of mains nominal voltage (phase neutral).

This new product family offers OEMs, panel builders and distributors a highly economic solution to the vital monitoring function.

Further modules and housings will become available as the range is expanded.

Comprehensive support is assured through the international Carlo Gavazzi company network.
