New French centre to
focus on UWB design
CSR has marked the next step of its worldwide expansion with the official opening of a wireless hardware design centre in Sophia Antipolis, France
The new centre is headed by the Design Group Leader Stephane Boudaud and will employ a team of experienced design engineers to work on hardware projects including the design of UWB (ultrawideband) radios. 'We have been planning and working on a very high speed version of Bluetooth for some time now, and the recent announcement by the Bluetooth SIG that UWB will be added as a higher speed option is very welcome and fits perfectly with the investment we are making in Sophia Antipolis', commented James Collier, Technical Director and cofounder of CSR.
