Cambridge Silicon Radio has enlisted Finnish design and wireless communications company BlueGiga to help reduce its customers' Bluetooth product development times

Cambridge Silicon Radio and Finnish design and wireless communications company BlueGiga have signed a nonexclusive partnership agreement that will enable shorter Bluetooth product development times for customers through combining the products and services of both companies. BlueGiga will benefit from CSR's ability to bring Bluetooth hardware and software design, development and integration services to customers, with an ever growing selection of proven Bluetooth products at the right price.

"We are very pleased to be working closely with CSR, the market leader in Bluetooth.

As a result of this partnership our customers will benefit significantly and will help to further accelerate the industry", said Jarkko Jukarainen, Managing Director of BlueGiga.

He continued, "We see Bluetooth as a rapidly emerging market and have the technical resource within BlueGiga to fully support our joint customers to rapidly design working products for the end-user market".

"A large and growing network of third parties around the world have chosen CSR's single-chip Bluetooth solution, jointly enhancing our businesses", said Clive Chelsom-Pill, Commercial Manager, CSR.

Chelsom-Pill continued, "With this combined expertise our customers can accelerate their development efforts and cut time-to-market.

BlueGiga has demonstrated its commitment to Bluetooth through its proven track record of product development, and its level of Bluetooth engineering resource.

BlueGiga can help OEMs create wireless remote connectivity and pervasive access to machines and devices in order to realise substantial cost savings and productivity improvements".
