Spraying system applies
conformal coatings safely
The new PVA 650 is an automatic selective spraying system for applying conformal coatings to printed circuit boards
It is distributed in the UK by Blundell Production Equipment. The PVA 650 can be configured to spray or dispense almost any viscous liquid, and it will also dispense thicker materials such as epoxy adhesives, sealants or spot mask. It can also be used for potting, dot and bead applications.

The machine consists of a fully programmable three-axis motion platform.
A robust overhead gantry supports ball screw slides over a large 500 x 500mm work area.
All axes include optical encoder feedback for maximum accuracy.
The system achieves motion in all axes simultaneously allowing paths to contour in and around intricate or closely spaced devices seamlessly.
Valves can be pneumatically tilted to further improve penetration of coating into tight areas.
Automatic selective conformal coating is becoming an essential tool for manufacturers who have to protect their PCBs with a laquer finish.
The negative health and safety implications of hand applying conformal coatings are now outweighing the cost of installing an automatic system for may companies.
The PVA system is fully enclosed with built in fume extraction as standard.
