For the first time in the UK, EMC professionals can take advantage of SimLab's range of simulation software to analyse EMC/EMI and signal integrity performance of PCB and cable assemblies. SimLab's software has been developed through years of close co-operation with partners and users in industry including BMW, Daimler Chrysler and Siemens in Germany and General Motors in the USA. Designed for EMC professionals with existing CAD/CAE tools, the emphasis is on analysis of EMC aspects including radiation simulation, S-parameter calculation and impedance plotted against frequency.

SimLab software also features the signal integrity analysis tools that would normally be expected along with a powerful graphing application.

Developed as more than a bolt-on to existing CAD systems, simulations can be run in both frequency and time domains giving SimLab the edge on competitive products that support only time-domain calculations.

SimLab's tools can save hours of redesign work prior to prototyping and increase confidence in performance prior to manufacture.

Design modifications can be simulated to determine viability before design is sent for prototyping and the software supports a variety of industry standard PCB and three-dimensional object export formats.

Three products are available now: PCBMod for the analysis of industrial printed circuit boards; CableMod for electronic system interconnection analysis and RadiaSim for radiation simulation from PCBMod and CableMod models.
