Endevco's latest miniature triaxial piezoresistive accelerometer, now available from Bruel and Kjaer, is ideal for use in biomechanical research applications such as the study of head injuries. Small and lightweight (0.4g), the Endevco model 7269 measures three orthogonal axes simultaneously and can be used for making measurements on light structures with a minimum of mass loading. Applications include testing of ejection seats, head-up displays and sports helmets where the extremely small size allows for installation in hard to access areas or on small electronics assemblies.

The Endevco model 7269 features three advanced micromachined sensors designed for ruggedness, high output and high resonance frequency.

Each sensor includes an integral mechanical overtravel stop and internal diodes are provided for ESD protection.

Each accelerometer has a full-scale output of 400mV using 10V DC excitation.

The accelerometer has minimum damping to ensure negligible phase shift over the specified frequency range.

Frequency response extends down to DC (steady state) acceleration making the unit ideal for measuring long duration transient shocks.

Two versions are available covering +/-500 and +/-2000g with frequency range of 0 to 3000 and 0 to 5000Hz, respectively.

Sensitivity for the -500 model is 0.8mV/g and for the -2000 version 0.2mV/g both at 100Hz and 10g.
