Loads of flexibility for testing
The MCL488 series of multichannel electronic loads is designed for ATE system or benchtop applications requiring a high degree of flexibility with multiple channels
The system is based on a subrack housing chassis with a selection of load modules. Up to ten modules can be fitted into the 19 x 10.5 x 23in subrack. Modules can be field fitted if required. Three load modules rated at 100, 400 and 600V are available. The 100 and 400V units have a current capability of 60A whereas the 600V unit has 20A capability.

All three modules have a power dissipation of 350W.
Once in the subrack, the modules are user configurable.
The load modules may be paralleled and fully controlled as a single load.
This provides one large channel at 0-600A, 3500W, ten channels at 60A, 350W, or any combination in between to offer a high degree of flexibility.
All functions that are available for a single module are available in the multichannel configuration.
Complete operation including constant current, constant resistance, constant power and constant voltage is available when operating a single module and when the modules are paralleled.
All functions including linking modules in parallel through software are programmed through the user-friendly front panel via the IEEE488 bus.
A user-enabled password protection locks out the panel for ATE applications.
Front-panel control can be resumed by entering a four-digit pass code.
