Shielded twisted pair cables provide reliable interface between any compatible digital audio/video source and a compatible digital audio and/or video monitor

New HDMI shielded twisted pair cables from Belden provide reliable interface between any compatible digital audio/video source and a compatible digital audio and/or video monitor, as well as providing support for standard, enhanced, or high-definition video and multichannel digital audio - all on a single assembly.

Typical applications for Belden HDMI cables include connecting HDMI sources - such as broadband/cable set-top boxes, digital video recorders, DVD players, HD-DVD and Blu-ray players - to various display devices, including plasma screens, digital light projection (DLP) projectors, liquid-crystal displays and liquid crystal on silicon or digital image light amplification devices, among others.

All Belden HDMI cables are 1080p verified.

With the broadcast industry migrating to digital transmission technology, home theatre devices must be capable of sending and receiving a wide range of video and audio signal types.

The new Belden HDMI cables offer the speed, bandwidth and performance quality to fulfil this need, enabling consumers to enjoy superior, uncompressed digital video and audio quality in home theatres, even as their installation expands and evolves over time.

Assuming the digital A/V source is performing properly, using high-quality Belden HDMI cables in multimedia interface applications helps eliminate the signal transmission problems - such as pixel loss, image graininess, loss of colour and other picture defects - which can occur when inferior cables are used.

The result of accurate and consistent data transmission is sharp, clear pictures and precise, high-quality audio.

To ensure error-free digital signal transmission, Belden HDMI cables are tested using an 'eye-pattern' test, which provides a visual check of a variety of electrical parameters critical to a cable's performance.

Belden offers its 26AWG shielded twisted pair HDMI cables in lengths of 1, 2, 3, 5 and 7m to accommodate virtually any arrangement of home theatre components.

Belden offers a complete line of cables and related products for home networking, entertainment, automation and security installations.

All the company's digital audio/video cables are UL-rated for residential and commercial installations, including in-wall use.
