The British Electrostatic Control Association (BECA) is holding a one-day seminar on 8th April 2003 at the Wedgwood Visitor Centre, Barlaston, Stole-on-Trent to cover practical aspects of ESD and in particular compliance with the 61340-5-1 standard. The seminar will not only provide an opportunity for those experienced in this field to update their knowledge of ESD prevention using the latest standards but will help newcomers to the subject to gain an understanding of ESD prevention techniques. The presenters, who are ESD industry experts, will include practical demonstrations to clarify and emphasise key technical points.
Why ESD prevention is needed, compliance assessment using the BECA guidelines, practical compliance assessment and estimating the cost of ESD, and the return on investment in control and prevention techniques, will be among the topics covered.
A panel discussion session will provide a forum for delegates to discuss ESD protection issues with the industry experts.
The one-day seminar costs GBP 145 (+VAT) per delegate (to include lunch and refreshments), with discounts for group bookings.
