The Easi Developer Suite is an intuitive development environment that provides user customisation of generators used for interface design and data validation in SoC projects.
Easi Developer Suite works in conjunction with Easi-Studio, a portfolio of tools for capturing and validating system interface specifications and automating the creation of the many associated design files (embedded applications system interfaces or Easis) needed in the development of SoC projects.
The availability of these files permits concurrent development of hardware and software in SoC and embedded systems design.
Easis ensure consistency throughout an SoC project, significantly reducing the heavy burden of subsequent verification and potential rework.
Files created consist of interface code required for hardware design, software APIs and verification.
Standard generators are available for VHDL, Verilog, SystemVerilog, C, C++ and e.
Documentation for the SoC is also produced in formats compatible with MSWord, Framemaker and HTML.
Easi Developer Suite is a powerful, maintainable environment that allows users to rapidly customise the generators available within Easi-Studio to suit corporate design styles and flows as well as create completely new generators to meet their own, specific design requirements.
In this respect, Easi Developer Suite is more than just an editor, it is a complete environment that allows users to compile, test and debug generators as well as document and build them for distribution through Easi-Studio to project-team members.
Easi Developer Suite also provides users with the ability to define the rules and rule sets that will be applied to validate the correctness of block and system level design interfaces.
These interface rule checks (IRCs) can be applied throughout the SoC development flow to identify errors early on in the design process.
IRCs minimise the risk of propagation of such errors through the design flow and significantly reduce the costly verification task otherwise required to identify such errors.
Easi Developer Suite provides the mechanism to extend the rule checking capabilities within Easi-Studio by giving project managers the ability to ensure that data saved about the system conforms to company, project and industry standards and that the flow of data through the design tool chain remains robust.
