Beach Solutions has started shipping Version 3.0 of Easi-Studio, a part of its Easi-Tools family.

Easi-Tools provides designers with automated solutions for packaging and deploying IP in a repeatable and reliable manner.

Initial customers include global wireless communications equipment and consumer electronics companies.

In addition to locating captured IP blocks into a system using a bottom-up methodology, Easi-Studio 3.0 now also provides the ability to capture multilayer systems using a top-down approach to systems building.

Both methods have been designed to integrate smoothly into existing SoC development processes and enhance the associated data-flow management.

Using Easi-Studio 3.0, design engineers can define complete system architectures that include multiple buses, transaction ports and IP block interconnections.

Before any generation takes place, all captured data is checked against in-built and user-defined rules.

Once checked, the data can be used as a reliable source for the automatic generation of design files for use by the various members of a development team - a physical layer API for the software developers, IP block HDL for hardware developers and documentation for all.

Using Easi-Studio, these views are easily maintainable throughout the development process and provide the ability for the hardware, software and documentation aspects of a development project to be undertaken concurrently.

As with previous versions of the tool suite, Easi-Studio requires no new language support, is simple to use, and fits neatly into existing design flows.

Easi-Tools automate many of the detailed and otherwise error-prone manual design tasks allowing design engineers to concentrate on value added engineering and bringing products to market faster.
