Audon releases simultaneous sampling unit
The RedLab-1608FS from Audon Electronics is a low-cost, eight-channel, 16-bit, data-acquisition unit featuring simultaneous sampling on all input channels.
The RedLab-1608FS can be used in applications that require higher sampling rates per channel, such as transient signal analysis or simultaneous acquisition of data for phase-sensitive applications.
It offers true simultaneous sampling of up to eight channels of 16-bit, single-ended analogue input through the use of one A/D converter per channel.
The range of each channel is independently configurable via software.
Each digital I/O line is independently selectable as input or output.
Multichannel continuous sampling rates of up to 100 kilosamples/sec are possible, where the maximum sampling rate per channel is 50 kilosamples/sec (two channels can be sampled at 50kS/s, three channels at 33.3kS/s, four channels at 25kS/s, and so on).
A burst mode is also provided that allows four channels to be sampled at 50kS/s, each for up to 32,768 total samples.
Input ranges of +/-10V, +/-5V, +/-2V and +/-1V are software selectable.
Each channel may be set at any of the four ranges independent of other channels.
A Sync control line allows synchronisation of two RedLab-1608FS modules to acquire data from 16 analogue inputs.
The RedLab-1608FS is powered by the +5V USB supply from a computer.
It is supplied with free recording software, plus drivers for most DAQ packages and programming languages.
