Atmel has released what it reckons is the industry's fastest, commercially available, monolithic 12bit analogue-to-digital convertor (ADC) with a clock frequency of 500Msample/s The AT84AS001TP will allow system designers to accurately digitise signals with frequencies up to 250MHz at sampling rates that could not have been achieved before with 12bit resolution
