Triple-output 50W switching power supplies accept universal input voltages to provide a selection of standard DC positive outputs from 3.3 to 24V

Emerson Network Power has introduced a new line of compact, triple-output 50W switching power supplies from Astec Power. The new Astec LPT50 Series accepts universal input voltage (90-264V DC or 127-300V DC) and frequency (47-440Hz) to provide a selection of standard DC positive outputs from 3.3 to 24V depending on the model.

With a compact footprint of only 2 x 4in, the LPT50 units are rated for convection cooling and offer 5.5W/in3.

They can deliver up to 9A from the primary output.

Featuring overpower and short circuit protection along with CISPR 22 Class B EMI filtering, the LPT50 series is also available with medical safety certifications designated by an -M on the model number.

Designed for 1U installations, the new models address the needs of network, telecomms, medical manufacturing and industrial equipment designers who require cost effective power solutions that do not sacrifice reliability.

With more than 550,000 hours of demonstrated MTBF, the LPT50 Series offers high efficiency and include over-voltage protection on the main output.

They include a power good LED indicator.

The robust designs of the LPT50 Series models comply with major worldwide safety and performance standards including UL, CSA, TUV, as well as the EN61000-x susceptablity requirements.

In addition the units feature a wide operating temperature range of 0 to 50C, with a -20C startup.
