Zhengjiang Pound Precision electronics manufacturing (PPEM) - a new multi-million-Euro high-tech manufacturing enterprise - has chosen Assembleon as its long-term production technology partner. As part of the more than Eur 20 million agreement signed by the CEOs of the two companies last week, PPEM will use Assembleon's new single platform A-Series for flexible pick and place in 20 high-speed SMT production lines at its Jurong factory. Offering advanced electronics manufacturing services (EMS) using the A-Series, PPEM will offer customers fast and highly competitive mass production - even with highly complex components, multi chip modules and the latest IC packaging technology.
Assembleon is providing the new company with complete integrated manufacturing solutions.
Assembleon's CEO, Dr Leon Husson, says: 'We're very proud to be selected because of our flexible and scalable solutions enabling PPEM to offer very competitive advanced electronics manufacturing services'.
PPEM is establishing its new Jurong SMT manufacturing plant for electronic products at a location 85km from Suzhou and 80km from Nanjing.
The new 17,000m2 plant will start out with 430 staff manufacturing communications, computing and consumer products.
In line with the market trend, PPEM is already planning for future expansion.
The long-term partnership covers every aspect of manufacturing, including equipment and technology.
As the primary partner, Assembleon will participate in the programming, construction and ramp-up of the new factory.
In the construction phase, Assembleon will introduce other suppliers, and organise the delivery of all equipment.
