for elastomeric keypads
Assemtech Europe has many years experience in supplying elastromeric products, and can provide technical engineering support for UK-based projects from initial enquiry to delivery of completed orders
Basic keypads can be moulded in solid colour or translucent rubber. The keytops can be silk screen printed or moulded into the surface using a different colour. Translucent rubber is ideal for basic back lighting. Keytops can be permanently printed in full or reverse. All keypads are moulded to individual requirements and can incorporate seals, PCB locations and other structural features.

Options include: epoxy dip, where the keytops are coated after printing to give a hard glossy finish; and laser etch, where the front face of a translucent keypad is sprayed with a special coating, normally black.
The characters required on the keytops are then laser etched.
This give a superb backlit keypad with no residual light loss.
