Arrow stars for Microchip
Arrow Electronics has been named as Microchip's Demand Creation Distributor of the Year as a result of rapid and significant growth in both UK sales and market share of Microchip business
Microchip presented Arrow with the UK award following a period in which Arrow grew its Microchip business by 60% and doubled its network share. The award also reflects the fact that Arrow grew product sales across the complete Microchip portfolio, and took the UK's first two orders for Microchip's dsPIC digital signal controllers.

Discussing this latest award, Chris McAneny, Arrow's Northern European Marketing Director, comments: "Arrow has worked hard at growing the Microchip business, and a key factor behind this growth has been the commitment to technical and design-in support across the Microchip product portfolio.
In addition, Microchip UK and Arrow UK have formed a great management level working relationship that has delivered real benefits to the UK customer base".
Ken Millar, Microchip's Senior Distribution Manager, Northern Europe, adds: "Arrow UK represents a formidable combination of dedicated technical expertise and multiple sales channels that cover the breadth of the customer base in the UK and the Republic of Ireland.
Arrow has fully embraced Microchip's 'total solution sell' concept, growing sales of PIC microcontrollers, analogue and interface products, and EEPROM".
