Arrow will use Dynamic Logic's forecast information to pipeline stock, which will enable a fast response to customer lead times.
The agreement was reached after a three-month long project in which Dynamic Logic evaluated four of the country's leading electronic components suppliers, including Arrow.
Dynamic Logic's core objectives throughout this process were to improve customer service levels, reduce total component cost and increase operational efficiency and reduce its vendor base without increasing costs or stock burden, in conjunction with a distributor that could also offer strong global and local presence.

As part of this evaluation, Arrow carried out a needs analysis and business process review prior to submitting an in-depth proposal that covered all aspects of supply chain management including stockholding and e-commerce.
Commenting on the new agreement, Brian Mahood, CEM Business Unit Director at Dynamic Logic's Dunfermline site says: "As our CEM business has grown we identified the need for a supply partner who could support us in our plans to expand our business and provide an enhanced level of service to our customers.
We needed a supplier who was able to react quickly to changing customer demands and forecast and hold agreed levels of stock to provide maximum flexibility.
Arrow quickly became the obvious choice, when measured against our selection criteria".
Simon Groat, Arrow's Regional Business Director says: "Following the three months of evaluation, Arrow is clearly delighted to have won this significant contract.
Not only can we offer our customers an extremely broad product line, but our advanced supply chain management capabilities and experience means that we truly understand what the industry's CEM businesses need".
