BiCMOS op amps
feature low offset voltage
Microchip has announced a new family of unity gain stable op amps with low offset voltage
The MCP61X family are single supply operational amplifiers offering a gain bandwidth of 190KHz with an operating current of 20uA. This new family offers low supply current, offset voltage and voltage operation that reduces demand on the battery or power supply, decreases design time, cuts component cost, and saves board space.

The first four devices, the MCP616, MCP617, MCP618, and MCP619, are unity gain stable and offer rail-to-rail inputs and outputs that allow operation from low supply voltages with large input and output signal swings.
These devices meet the need for low offset voltage by combining non-volatile memory and PNP inputs, resulting in an offset voltage of less than 75uV (typical).
MCP61X devices are available in single (MCP616/ MCP618), dual (MCP617) and quad (MCP619) amplifier options in PDIP, SOIC and TSSOP packages.
The MCP618 also features a single amplifier with chip select.
The new op amps are ideal for a wide range of applications including, battery powered instruments, strain gauges, medical instruments, and test equipment.
A data sheet is available from www.microchip.com.
Future devices will be produced in 8-pin MSOP, SOIC, and DIP; 5-pin SOT-23; 6-pin SOT-23; and 16-pin QSOP, SOIC and DIL packages.
