A new development kit supports QNX Neutrino, the market-leading high-performance real-time operating system from QNX Software.

Arcom has a new development kit to support QNX Neutrino, the market-leading high-performance real-time operating system from QNX Software.

This new development kit adds to the wide range of board support packages available for the popular 300MHz SBC-GX1 single board computer.

Arcom's award-winning development kit strategy lets customers quickly develop QNX Neutrino based applications using a reliable reference platform and a production ready product.

The SBC-GX1 QNX Neutrino development kit offers an evaluation version of QNX Neutrino preloaded into the resident 16Mbyte Flash drive.

The operating system image includes a wide selection of components including Photon, the small footprint microGUI, a telnet server/client, FTP server/client and the Voyager browser with HTTP server - all running from the Posix compatible Flash filing system.

"Arcom's development kit serves as a proven and ready-to-use platform for demanding QNX Neutrino applications.

It lets you experience the full capabilities of the Neutrino real-time operating system and quickly exploit application components such as the Photon microGUI for use in instrument and machine control applications", said Frank Pellitta, Director Worldwide Major Account Sales, QNX Software.

This comprehensive development kit includes the 300MHz SBC-GX1 single board computer fitted with 32Mbyte SDRAM and 16Mbyte of Flash memory, PSU, serial and Ethernet cable set, quick-start manual and the development kit utility CD.

Also included is an evaluation copy of the QNX Momentics Professional Edition development tools CD.

The SBC-GX1 EBX format (5.75 x 8in) single-board computer is powered by the popular 300MHz National Semiconductor Geode GX1 processor and is targeted at fanless systems.

The board offers graphics accelerated CRT and TFT flat panel support, 10/100Base-Tx Ethernet, four serial ports, and expansion via a PCI slot, CompactFlash socket and industry standard PC/104 bus.
