Record revenue and earnings for Ansoft
Ansoft Corp has published financial results for its fourth quarter of fiscal 2005 ended 30th April 2005
Revenue for the fourth quarter totalled $21.7 million, an increase of 22% compared with $17.8 million reported in the previous fiscal year's fourth quarter. On a non-GAAP basis, net income for the fourth quarter was $4.9 million, or $0.38 per diluted share, representing a 49% increase when compared with net income of $3.3 million, or $0.25 per diluted share in the previous fiscal year's fourth quarter.

On a generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP) basis, net income for the fourth quarter was $4.7 million, or $0.36 per diluted share, compared with GAAP net income of $2.8 million, or $0.21 per diluted share in the previous fiscal year's fourth quarter.
Revenue for the fiscal year totalled $67.7 million, compared with $54.7 million reported in the previous fiscal year.
On a non-GAAP basis, net income for the fiscal year was $10.4 million, or $0.80 per diluted share, representing a 130% increase when compared with net income of $4.5 million, or $0.34 per diluted share in the previous fiscal year.
On a generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP) basis, net income for the fiscal year was $9.4 million, or $0.73 per diluted share, compared with GAAP net income of $2.6 million, or $0.19 per diluted share in the previous fiscal year.
'We are pleased to report record revenue and earnings for the fourth quarter', said Nicholas Csendes, Ansoft's President and CEO.
'For the next fiscal year, we anticipate revenue growth of around 15% as well as increasing profitability of around 25%'.
