"Ansoft Designer's innovative blend of accuracy and user friendliness will set the standard for microwave and RF design".
Ansoft Designer ushers in a new era of EDA software by seamlessly integrating electromagnetic, circuit, and system simulation for radio frequency, high-speed, and communication design.
The software lets design engineers determine the electrical behaviour of a device based on its physical attributes, eliminating the need to develop electrical models through measurement and creating equivalent circuits based on empirical fitting.
With Solver on Demand technology and seamless integration, the software eliminates design risk and uncertainty by providing engineers with the information necessary to make correct decisions during all stages of the design process.
Ansoft Designer offers three distinct capabilities integrated within a common environment: simulation for time, frequency, and mixed-mode analyses of circuits, systems, and components; modelling with advanced electromagnetic-field solvers for complete physical design; and design automation featuring advanced design entry, component management, and layout capability for concept-to-reality IC, PCB, high-speed and communication applications.
The software, which employs the latest Windows technology, features an easy-to-use graphical user interface that accommodates both novice and advanced users.
Full commercial shipments will begin the second half of 2002.
