Ansoft figures move
in the right direction
Ansoft Corp has revealed its financial results for its fourth quarter and fiscal year ended 30th April 2002
Revenue for fiscal 2002 totalled $53.4 million, an increase of 23% compared with $43.6 million reported in the previous fiscal year. Revenue for the fourth quarter of fiscal 2002 totalled $15.6 million, an increase of 11% compared with $14.1 million reported in the previous fiscal year's fourth quarter.

Net income for the year ended 30th April 2002 was $1.2 million compared with a net loss of $845,000 in fiscal 2001.
Net income for the fourth quarter of fiscal 2002 was $1.2 million, or $0.09 per diluted share, as compared with a net loss of $1.5 million, or $0.13 per diluted share in fiscal 2001.
Pro forma net income for the fourth quarter of fiscal 2002 was $2.8 million, or $0.20 per diluted share, which excludes the effects of the amortisation of intangibles of $1.2 million and expenses of $1.1 million for Altra Broadband.
This compares with a pro forma net loss of $525,000, or $0.04 per diluted share, reported for the same quarter in the prior fiscal year, which excludes the effects of the amortisation of intangibles of $590,000 and expenses of $745,000 for Altra Broadband.
"We completed another successful year in the face of a difficult economic environment", said Nick Csendes, President and CEO of Ansoft.
"Although we are cautious about our near-term prospects, we see great opportunities for the future of our technology and business".
