E-mech design workshop
series "spurs ideas"
Ansoft concluded its first annual international electromechanical system design workshop series last month in the UK
The workshop series, designed for electromechanical component, electrical circuit, and system designers, began last November in Korea and since has attracted more than 900 automotive, power-electronics, and electromechanical design engineers from around the world. After the workshop debuted in Korea, the series continued in China, Japan, Massachusetts, Michigan, Illinois, California, Germany, Italy, France and the UK.

"Engineers who attended the workshops were very excited about our expanding software solutions", said Mark Ravenstahl, Ansoft's Product Marketing Manager, EM Products.
"In all venues, attendees responded favorably to the depth and breadth of Ansoft's electrical and electromechanical solutions for the design of automotive electronics, power electronics, motors, and drives".
"After attending Ansoft's workshop in Detroit, I better understand the benefits of the company's design solutions and gained insight into how other companies are using simulation to positively impact their bottom line", said Dr Roy Schultz, Technical Specialist at High Voltage Systems Visteon Corp.
"The workshop spurred ideas of what we could and should do with simulation in the near future".
Dr Yan Lu, Project Manager and FEA Specialist at BMW Munich, Germany, who attended the event in Munich, said: "Ansoft provided a very high-quality, informative workshop filled with terrific ideas on how we can streamline our engineering processes with simulation and deliver new ideas to market faster".
