Amplicon Liveline has been appointed as UK distributor for RM Michaelides, the leading German manufacturer of CAN based products

Since forming in 1987, RM has been at the forefront of CAN research and development, and now has the widest range of CAN products and solutions currently available from one manufacturer. The extensive RM range includes wireless CAN interfaces, gateway products, CAN data loggers, intelligent displays and I/O interfaces.

Of particular interest to the telematics market are fleet management products, including an innovative CAN+GPS to GPRS solution.

David Evans, Product Manager for Data Communication products at Amplicon commented: "What has impressed us most about RM, is their design and manufacturing capability, quality and wealth of technical knowhow.

Their proven experience in providing innovative project-based solutions also makes very impressive reading".

Amplicon's MD, Mike Wood, added: "Our two companies have extremely well aligned values, standards and culture.

This new relationship with RM will provide us with the market-leading products and resource to further develop a sector which is key to Amplicon.

I am delighted we are working with RM who will be a strategic CAN partner in our growth plans".

Robert Michaelides, CEO of RM stated: "Amplicon have the right channels to market thanks to their bi-annual catalogue, extensive advertising, technical sales team and high industry profile which will undoubtedly provide fast penetration of the UK market".

The full RM range will be available via the Amplicon website by August 2003 and the products will feature in the new Amplicon catalogue due for distribution in October.
