Large-digit displays vary with ambient light
A new range of 200mm LED displays are ideal for wide coverage applications
Models are available with LED digit sizes from 38 to 200mm. Incorporating the latest superbright LEDs and a programmable autobrightness control allows for clear viewing under a wide variation of ambient light conditions. The autobrightness control can be used to eliminate the glare associated with an "overbright" display in dull conditions.
For direct sunlight conditions, AIC also has a range of yellow "flip" digit displays available in 39 and 100mm digit sizes.
The displays are designed for applications where an indication is necessary at a distance.
Such applications would include time and temperature displays, weight indicators on weighbridges to truck drivers and remote displays where information needs to be seen by a group of people.
The displays are available on models accepting temperature sensors, analogue input, loadcell/strain gauge, BCD/binary/Gray code, pulse input - such as proximity sensors, relay closures etc, and a range of serial data inputs including RS232, RS485, current loop and synchronous serial interface (SSI).
The displays can also be used in real time clock and timer applications, making them ideal for sporting events etc.
Depending on the display size, the instruments are housed in rugged UV resistant ASA plastic or powder coated steel enclosures with an IP65 environmental rating.
