Altia, developer of the Altia Design user interface design tool, is releasing Altia Design 9.0 in January 2010.

This product provides new features that are said to offer development teams the capability to create user interfaces that will get their new products noticed.

Distort allows the creation of 3D-type animations, like visually flipping through images, without requiring a 3D engine or mesh files.

With the Snapshot Object, users can take a virtual snapshot of any area on the screen to create eye-catching screen transitions.

The Skin Object lets users easily change the appearance of their entire design.

Users can 'globalise' their interface by switching text in their design to different languages with the new language feature.

Many of these new features can be viewed on the video demos on Altia's Youtube channel.
