PhotoProto 1.05 is claimed to be 20x faster than previous versions when creating GUIs out of large Photoshop files with hundreds of layers

Altia has released an updated version of its popular PhotoProto package. PhotoProto automatically turns Adobe Photoshop artwork into working, interactive prototypes that can be packaged, e-mailed and run on a Mac or PC. Then, using other Altia tools, users can generate source code for their GUI for targets such as Windows, VxWorks, Linux, QNX, TI OMAP, Solaris etc.

This saves interaction designers and developers hours, if not days of work creating graphics and interactivity for use in custom GUI development and deployment projects.

PhotoProto 1.05 is claimed to be 20x faster than previous versions when creating GUIs out of large Photoshop files with hundreds of layers.

A new error/warning summary which shows up at the end of the GUI build process is another handy feature that is introduced with this version.

3D models/objects are now supported on the Mac.

In addition, PhotoProto now has support for Windows Vista and Windows XP configurations which may have limited user access environments.
