Rule generator simplifies C-based specification

AccurateC Rule Generator is a companion product to AccurateC Rule Checker introduced in 2001, a SystemC-based language rule checker. Both increase the quality and consistency of the source code, enabling engineers to produce design-ready SystemC code, while promoting reuse for future projects.
"Actis Design has the goal to provide a complete suite of AccurateC software to enhance SystemC-based hardware designs", remarks Joan Bartlett, president of Actis Design, a spinoff from Willamette HDL's software product and consulting services businesses.
"The first product we shipped is a rule checker, which is now followed by its companion product that allows designers to write user defined rules".

AccurateC Rule Generator allows designers to create user-defined rules tailored to specific project requirements, and lets them write their own rules in C++ using application program interface (API) functions to access design data.
The AccurateC companion product - Rule Checker - increases the quality of the source code by producing design-ready SystemC code.
It includes source code analysis and debug capabilities, and identifies syntax, semantic and style errors in C/C++ code prior to synthesis and simulation, uncovering errors earlier in the design process.
A graphical user interface (GUI) or command line interface supports interactive or batch modes for system verification and debug.
AccurateC Rule Checker includes an integrated text editor to simplify error analysis and correction.
AccurateC Rule Generator is shipping today and supports Sun Microsystems and Linux operating systems.
A one-year technology subscription licence (TSL) for the AccurateC Rule Generator starts at $8000.
AccurateC Rule Checker is priced from $10,000.
