Coaxial solid-state PIN diode switches target engineers designing manufacturing test systems or requiring a fast switching solution to validate component performance.

Agilent Technologies has a new family of coaxial solid-state PIN diode switches - including single-pole double-throw (SPDT), single-pole four-throw (SP4T) and transfer switch models - with a broad operating frequency range from 100MHz to 18GHz for fast, accurate test in automatic test equipment (ATE) systems.

Exceptional isolation and ultrafast switching speed make these switches well suited for R and D and manufacturing engineers designing manufacturing test systems or requiring a fast switching solution to validate component performance.

Switch requirements today are as broad and varied as the applications in which they are used - from testing high-speed antennas to high-volume semiconductor components.

Specific requirements are determined by each application's needs, such as isolation, frequency and operating life.

Agilent's new family of PIN diode switches features superior performance across all of these requirements.

Another key feature of Agilent's PIN diode switches is a high port-to-port isolation of greater than 80dB.

This feature minimises cross talk between signal paths to reduce measurement uncertainty and ensure accurate testing.

Additionally, an ultrafast switching speed of 380ns enables high-speed signal routing applications and maximises manufacturing test throughput.

Agilent's new switch family features six PIN diode switch models, each operating from 100MHz to either 8 or 18GHz.

These models include the P9400A/C transfer, P9402A/C SPDT and P9404A/C SP4T switches.

Agilent's new solid-state PIN diode switch family is available now.

The switches can be purchased through any of Agilent's field engineers and worldwide distributors, or via Agilent's online store.
