With bandwidths from 0.1 to 3.5GHz, these RFIC amplifiers in the SOT-363 package offer a combination of noise figure, bandwidth and output power capabilities that has not been available from gain blocks from other manufacturers.
The Agilent ABA-51563, 52563 and 53563 complement Agilent's existing range of RFICs, which include the company's ultra low noise GaAs PHEMT amplifiers and lower-frequency multipurpose silicon gain blocks.
The new RFICs provide a 3dB bandwidth of 0.1 to 3.5GHz, and feature unconditional stability combined with input and output VSWRs of less than 2.0, and internal input and output 50ohm matching, making them easy to integrate into a variety of circuit designs.
The demand for higher performance wireless applications at higher frequencies creates a requirement for greater power output capability from amplifier stages -- both for increased linearity and to provide higher drive levels for power amplifiers.
The Agilent ABA series amplifiers have been designed with a combination of competitive noise figures with linear output power levels ranging from +1.8 to +12.7dBm, and third-order output intercept points from +11.4 to +22.9dBm.
The Agilent ABA-51563 combines 21.5dB gain with 3.7dB noise figure and +1.8dBm linear output power (P1dB), and draws 18mA at 5V.
For the ABA-52563, the specifications are 21.5dB gain, 3.3 dB NF and +9.8 dBm output power, operating at 35mA.
The ABA-53563 combines 21.5dB gain, 3.5dB NF and +12.7dBm output power, operating at 46mA.
These RFICs are fabricated using Agilent's proven and extremely reliable HP-25 silicon bipolar process with 25GHz fT and 30GHz fmax, and are packaged in the ultraminiature industry standard SOT-363 package.
The Agilent ABA-51563, 52563 and 53563 are immediately available through Agilent's direct sales channel and worldwide distribution partners.
