Based in Haslemere, Surrey and with over 20 years experience of connector manufacture in the UK, Ceep claims that the S92 is the most robust and competitively priced non-military-spec waterproof connector on the market. Built in shell sizes of 10, 20, 30, 40 and 70 and with over 40 contact arrangements, the S 92 is highly flexible.
Bespoke versions are also available.
An adjustable twist seal cable gland system is used that obviates the need for screws or clamps that require screwdrivers or other tools for assembly.
Both threaded and bayonet locking is available and antivibration versions are also supplied.
Contact current ratings are from 7.5 to 60A at voltages of 150 to over 600V and both solder and crimp versions are available.
In its standard format the S92 is rated at IP67 and connectors can also be supplied to IP68.
It has a special nonconductive protective coating for salt-water applications and standard working temperature is -40 to +120C.
The S92 range will be ideal wherever it is necessary to supply high power in wet conditions and will be of particular value in the railway, mining, light and sound and marine industries.
