Now available in the UK from Aerco, the Wago 285 spring clamp terminal block is the world's first 95mm2 rail-mounted terminal block with spring-clamp connection

Ideal for marine use and other demanding applications, this DIN rail mounted terminal block is suitable for conductor sizes ranging from 35-95mm2 and is rated at 1000V at 232A. A push-in jumper is available that can be inserted before the conductors without using any tools. Once in place, the jumper can carry the entire rated current of 232A.

A special hex wrench key is used to open the spring clamp.

This key is latched so that the clamp can be held in the open position, leaving both hands free to handle the conductors.

In common with other Wago rail-mounted ground terminal blocks, the 285 block makes automatic contact to the rail when snapped into position.

The earth foot, equipped with spring clip technology, automatically makes positive connection with the carrier rail when snapped on, distributing the high contact pressure symmetrically on to all defined contact zones.

This ensures a permanently gastight contact is made and provides safe grounding of short-circuit currents in excess of 11.4kA/s.

The terminals are fitted with a testing tab that has direct contact with the rail.

This allows testing with insulated test plugs while protecting against accidental contact.

Clear and unambiguous marking of each clamping unit on the external side can be achieved through the use of Wago's well proven, miniature WSB quick marking system.
